Title
5. Take a stroll or run in San Giuliano Park ★★★★☆
Have a walk or run between mainland and water in San Giuliano the largest urban park in Europe. In the edge of the lagoon, where you can see the historical center of Venice emerging from the water and, if you are lucky and the sky is clear, you can see the Dolomites behind you.
You can reach the park with the tram, by car, or running from the center of Mestre. Starting from the center, you can run beside a branch of the small river “Osellino”(o Marzenego?) which arrives to the lagoon, and reach the park through a pedestrian bridge, or through pleasant alley “Viale San marco”.
You will run through the meadows and the short vegetation, run up a gentle slope, then have a rest in front of the water, watch people sailing or rowing in the “venetian way”, or the birds of the lagoon.
If you are not tired you can run a solitary path beside a canal, in the northern part of the park.
